Diabetes Educator

June Ellul

Founder — Seek & Rebalance™

June Ellul is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Registered Nurse, and Clinical Nurse Consultant with over 27 years of nursing experience and more than two decades specialising in diabetes, long-term weight difficulties, and metabolic health across Australia and the United Kingdom.

Known for her compassionate, trauma-informed approach, June helps people feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood — especially those living with high blood sugar levels, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, emotional eating, diabetes burnout, low energy, and repeated cycles of weight regain despite trying incredibly hard to change.

Many of the people June supports feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice, exhausted from years of dieting, and unsure what to eat or what to do anymore. Her work focuses on helping clients move beyond shame, frustration, and survival mode so they can rebuild confidence, regain clarity, and create sustainable long-term change with both their physical and emotional health.

Her specialty involves supporting people living with complex Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who have previously tried multiple approaches, including tablets, insulin therapy, GLP-1 medications, bariatric surgery, extreme dieting, excessive exercise, and repeated weight loss attempts that never seemed to last long-term.

Her expertise includes insulin pump therapy, CGM interpretation, GLP-1 support, behaviour change coaching, and advanced diabetes technology. She has extensive experience supporting people with complex diabetes management across hospitals, specialist services, and multidisciplinary care teams.

June founded Seek & Rebalance™ to bridge the gap between clinical diabetes care and the emotional realities many people silently live with.

Her work integrates evidence-based diabetes education with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, nervous system regulation, and behavioural support — recognising that emotional experiences, chronic stress, and life adversity can significantly affect long-term diabetes & weight self-management, eating behaviours, and overall metabolic health.

Rather than focusing only on numbers, June’s approach centres on how people are truly feeling underneath the surface — creating a safe space where clients feel genuinely listened to, emotionally supported, and understood without judgement.

Outside of work, June enjoys playing tennis, travelling, walking in nature, and volunteering with Breakthrough T1D. She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to rebuild both their physical and emotional well-being.

💛 June’s Philosophy

“You are not broken.
Your body has been communicating with you for a long time.
Healing begins when we stop fighting ourselves and start understanding what our body has been trying to say.”
